How do I join Contact Singles?

Go to the Join page and fill in your details. We are a members' club and we require details for attendance at events. The details ensure that members are genuinely unattached and that it is a safe environment at the parties. We are very aware of The Data Protection Act so your details are not passed to any third parties. We do not have a box which you tick saying you are agreeing to any terms or conditions so you can be sure that this promise is genuine.

 

Is there a Membership Fee that I have to pay in order for me to attend your singles events in London?

There isn't any charge to join our singles club in London. Once you have supplied your details you only pay for the events you wish to attend.

 

What is the dress code at your London Singles Club?

Please see the Dress Code page. Now we have bar/clubby type venues only it is basically Smart/Casual. Not too casual guys or ladies are just not impressed. There is one black tie ball in December and this is a very dressy event with men in dinner suits and ladies in ball gowns.

 

What are the formats for your London singles events?

 At bar / clubby venues it is simply an informal party with DJ and we have optional mass speed dating from 8.15pm until 9pm before the DJ livens up the party. We also offer introductions at the bar 7 to 7.30pm so this is the best time to arrive if you are new or wishing to meet all the new members.

 

Are members genuinely single?

As we are a members' club and we take details to join it is safe to assume that people attending our events are genuinely unattached at the time of attending. We also ask for prepayment for new members to confirm the address given. We do keep in touch with our members so we know if the details supplied are accurate.

 

Is the number of males/females attending events Balanced?

We ask for prepayment for our events so we can ensure that there is a balance between men and women.

 

Will it be alright for me to come alone to your events?

We concentrate on introducing at our events. We have a team of 5 of us running each event always with two dedicated to introducing. If a member comes alone to the speed dating we initially introduce members in mixed groups at 7pm, including ladies to other ladies who come alone and even men to other men. Obviously we're aiming to introduce members to people of the opposite gender but it always helps to make new social friends.

We also have a female networking service where we can put ladies in touch with other ladies living in their area and this means you could even travel into an event with another member. There isn't any charge for this service so let us know when you join if you would like to add your name to the networking list. How do I find out more about your London singles events and what are your charges?

Please look on the Events page to see the list of forthcoming events. All charges and timings are shown on this page for each event. All you need to do is book with card via the booking area for an event and then confirm mobile by texting full name with year of birth to 07809 709099 once you are booked.. The payment area is just above the information for each event on the Events page and you can book with card whether you have a Pay Pal account or not. Pay Pal will send a confirmation email to you and one to us when you have booked successfully. You always need to text name through with message you have booked via the site to 07809 709099 as this confirms if your number is current even if you are already registered with us. We send ticket to your mobile so confirmation of number is required. If you book for a friend we need their name, address, mobile and email so please send this through to : This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  at the time you book as we need to confirm your friend's details before attendance.

 

What is the cancellation deadline?

Cancellation is usually the day before the event if the party by 6pm and a week before the event if booked for a major event such as the Christmas Black Tie Ball Sat Dec 16th at Hilton Paddington Hotel, W2.  We send confirmation of booking stating the cancellation deadline. If cancelled by this deadline we do not make a refund but we can hold over a credit for another event. This credit is non transferable to another person unless their details have been confirmed by the day before the event.

 

What is the average age range at your events?

Most members are between 30 to late 50s/early 60s at the Saturday functions with a majority aged between 35 - 55. Obviously members younger or older than this are welcome but the majority joining definitely seem to fall between 35 - 55. We average 220 - 250 at our bar events so there should be enough within the age range of interest to you and especially if you are from 30s to 50s. We will reach max 450 for our Christmas Black Tie Ball which you need to book early for if you wish to attend. It is advisable to book by the day before the event even for our usual bar events as we reach maximum numbers for all events. Remember we started in 1994 so we already have a big following.
